About the Programme

2019 marked the birth of our Young Foodies Graduate Programme: three jam-packed days of insightful workshops to introduce graduates and entry-level candidates to the world of food and drink challenger brands. Masterclasses from our very own were intertwined with guest talks from founders and leaders in our brands. 

The days in detail

Over three days, the Programme’s goal is to give an introduction into the fundamentals of sales, marketing and operations in an FMCG start-up. You will have the opportunity to meet like-minded people and network with experienced professionals working for exciting challenger brands and, ultimately, land you a job in the process.

The process is simple

How it works

You will have to make it through our initial screening, then 2 days of training and then a final high-intensity assessment; but it will be worth it. You will feel equipped to take on anything thrown your way in your new job, allowing you to show your managers and founders what you are capable of from day 1.

Am I guaranteed a job through the Programme?

You are not guaranteed a job through the Programme; however a number of our brands recruit graduates directly through the Programme, so every grad has the opportunity to land a role. What we can guarantee is that you will complete the Programme with an understanding of how challenger food & beverage businesses operate, and where your skill set is best suited.


I have some friends that would like to go on the Programme, will I get a referral fee if they are successful?

Yes. We run a referral scheme which will mean we pay you a £250 fee for every referral we place through the programme. The applicant will just need to write your name as the person who referred them in your application. There is no limit to the amount of people you can refer, and no cap on how much in referral fees we pay out to you. 

Do I have to come to every day of the Programme?

You will be required to attend the full Programme to avoid missing out on any learning and to give you the best chance of landing a job at the end. 

Do I have to pay to go on the YF Grad Programme?

The Programme will not cost you a penny. We will provide snacks, and refreshments too. 

I am not looking to start a role immediately, is it still worth me applying to come on the Programme?

The insight gained on the Programme is invaluable and will benefit you whether you are hoping to start a job that week, or in 6 months time. When will I find out if my application has been successful?

While we aim to contact you on the status of your application as soon as possible, due to the volume of applications, it may take us up to 30 days to respond. If you have any questions, contact us.

Who can apply to the YF Graduate Programme?

We are unable to accept applicants that are due to graduate after 2020. Aside from that, the YF Grad Programme is open to all – whether you went to university or not (despite the name). 

When will the date be confirmed?

Due to government guidelines, the Programme date has yet to be confirmed. We are working closely with our brands to understand their hiring opportunities and needs in this environment and will keep you updated accordingly. Keep an eye on our Linkedin page for news.
